Hello, there's been an issue that concerns me lately and really annoys me.
Recently I've been trying to use my mic more but right now my microphone array isn't picking up any audio, levels are fine, and when I try to click "listen to device" it picks up the audio normally.
But then, when I go to settings > system > sounds and actually try to test the microphone there, no audio is picked up.

This also happens with discord too, probably more apps but haven't known yet. Currently, I use opera and when went to a mic testing website, the mic picked up audio fine. But right now it only appears to happen on some certain apps

The laptop I'm using right now is the Predator Helios 300. Had it since around 2016-2017

Hope I can find a fix

If you right click the speaker icon and click sounds, under the recording tab do you have more than one device, and is one set as the default communication device?

If there is more than one, try disabling the ones that are not needed, it could be that there is some other mic which is taking priority on some applications
