I have a new Aspire 3 A315-56.  When I turn it on after a shutdown, the screen starts flashing after logging into the system.  I need to perform a soft reboot and everything is fine.  This has happened every day that I have booted the computer up (3 days since purchase).

One factor might be that it is connected to a public wi-fi?  I'm not sure.

I have only installed software that is approved by Microsoft (signed and okay).

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down and check the box for fast startup. If already checked, uncheck it. Then shutdown Windows normally and try it again. Jack E/NJ

    Hi VivFox

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
