How to fix device problems on my Acer E5-576

I'm having various problems with the computer, and in trying to fix them I noticed there are two items in Device Manager listed as "other devices", which must be an error. The other Acer E5-576 in our house doesn't have anything listed under other devices. And we're not having a problem with it.

One of the devices listed is SM Bus Controller. The device description says there's no driver for it. It appears to be a problem with the chipset. So I went to the Acer website and I did find a driver for this specific computer for the chipset. I downloaded it, but I'm hesitant to just go ahead and install it without some assurance that I'm not going to trash my computer. If there's a chance of that, I want to make sure all my data is backed up completely before I do it.

The other item listed under other devices is PCI Memory Controller. It also appears to be a chipset problem. Any idea if the chipset driver update will fix that, too?

First, you will not do any damage by installing any inappropriate drivers, as it will just not work, you have to make sure that both drivers of either the SM Bus Controller or the PCI Memory Controller are the right drivers for your E5-576 (btw, the links I've provided explains how to do this and get the right drivers) so follow those guides and it will fix your problems and rectify your exclamation marks in "Device manager". .
