When I power up my Aspire E laptop a screen comes up with a wheel going around and a message that says "Getting Windows ready, Don't turn off your computer.  I cannot get past this screen.  I tried a control/alt delete, but it did nothing.  The laptop has been on for half an hour and the screen is the same.  What can I do?  Thanks.  Jeannine

Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds or till the machine shuts off.  Remove the charger. Then look for a pinhole on the bottom of laptop and insert a paperclip for about 30 seconds. Then plug the charger back in. Wait for the battery charge LED to turn from solid orange to solid blue. May take some time. Then try to turn it on again. Jack E/NJ
