Nitro 5 - AN515-52 - Intel Optane 16GB how setup properly / unable to set disable

Hello,

I stuck with my Intel Optane in a Nitro 5. I reinstalled the Windows 10 after a system crash. And cannot setup the Optane properly.

I have the latest BIOS (v1.28). Set UEFI (as required, anyway no other option) , SATA mode is : RST with Optane.
I have a small unallocated space at the end of the HDD (as required for the Optane).
I install all the Driver what found on the Acer product page.
All Windows update installed.

About the error message:

When I try disable the Optane:

I noticed something in the device manager. Before reinstall the Win 10, in the disk drives there was 2 separate drive : the Optane and the HDD.
Now it is in one line:

Could anyone have a solution?

Can you check the health of your hard drive and optane memory with crystaldiskinfo?

Hi egydiocoelho,

Never use this before, just use windows built in error check.
As you can see, the win10 did not find any errors.

Now I check with crystaldiskinfo, and found this:

Optane is fine:

but the HDD not:

I belived the Win10 so I did not think any HDD error.
May it cause the error?
It is a fresh WIn10 install. Before install I recreated the partition. SO I have no idea about this bad sectors.

See that the hdd is in error. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the hdd.

Hi,

Finally the the system fully crashed.
And checked with an expert and found the HDD faulty.

Just removed the HDD and insert an SSD drive. Also removed the Optane because the port needed for the SSD as there is only 1 suitable port in this laptop.

But of course, thanks your help to try find the solution
