Is someone there who can help me to find the correct ram for my laptop? =) I want to buy another ram and want to know what's the installed brand and what's the ram that I need to buy. Also I have a doubt that my motherboard support XMP. Because I heard there are XMP ram also available in the market. In the CPU-Z it mentioned max bandwidth DDR4-3200 (1600MHz) so is that mean current ram speed is DDR4-3200 (1600MHz)? :3

I have attached the CPU-Z screens of the specs that I have currently installed.

the max is the max of the memory thats currently installed :) , one of the ace's here should be able to confirm that for us (Billlsey to the rescue ;) ? )!

You are right with the XMP. most motherboards dont support it with acer. Matching the brand isnt too important, but maching the speed / CL is, so you should aim for 3200MHz JEDEC 21CL, you can mix and max brands pretty much as long as they match spec wise! the memory thats installed will be an OEM part and not available

Does CPUz show slot one as empty?, just a bit strange to see it in slot 2 :D

    Hi,
Yes, if you want to upgrade the memory with the existing module, you can use another 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz module to make the total memory of 16GB but don't mix XMP profile module with the existing module which has JEDEC profile, if you want to use HyperX modules( XMP), you have to buy 2 of them and replace the current module as well.

Look at this official Acer guide for your laptop  madushan01, your Nitro AN515-55-586Z with the Comet Lake CPU can have the following, follow this appropriate guide for your memory upgrades that is supported and tested by Acer as and if you go to the max ram of 32GB into its 2x slots with DDR4-3200 (like you have shown) there is a danger it might not work as Acer does recommend the max ram at DDR4-2933, so be cautious as the difference between DDR4-2933 and DDR4-3200 is not much and some people here have upgraded to 32GB at DDR4-3200 and were surprised why it didn't work and their system didn't boot.

Good luck and follow the guides above.

Thank you for the reply!  :3 Yes it shows slot 1 as empty and slot 2 has the memory. Is that bad? :/ My device recommended spec is DDR4-2933MHz . So guess I go with another DDR4-3200Mhz JEDEC memory should be fine.

Yes, go with DDR4-3200 CL=22.   When it clocks down to JEDEC PnP 2933 it will be CL=21 just like your existing stick of ram.
    See link below.

Crucial is the retail arm of Micron.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thank you @br@brummyfan2 :) so when I called my local acer shop they told me that the recommended speed for my laptop is DDR4-2933MHz and I should need another 8GB DDR4-2933MHz . But They didn't open my laptop to check what's the installed memory is. When I told the Acer technician that CPU-z shows my installed memory is 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz module he said CPU-z indicate the maximum bandwidth that I can go with. So he recommend 8GB DDR4-2933MHz memory module. It's really hard to find a JEDEC memory with this spec. So I think I should go with another 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz. :3
