I want to speed up my laptop. After a lots of online researches I found I can do it by adding SSD and extra ram to it. It has slot for extra ram as well as for m.2 SSD? Now I am confused. The laptop has maximum capacity for ram is 20 gb and 4 gb is inbuilt. What will happen if install 16 gb ram in extra ram slot?
I searched for m.2 SSD and found out there are lots of variations. I want to know which one would be best for my laptop. There are lots of recommendations for samsung nvme 970evo pro when I searched for it online. Please share your experiences. I am new to do this thing. I am afraid that I could mess up my laptop and waste time and money eventually.

Yes, an nvme card should work but at about half it's maximum speed potential due to mainboard bus limitations. You will have a maximum total of 20GB RAM by adding a 16GB DDR4 module. Jack E/NJ
