Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53 [Realtek audio vs Realtek High definition audio driver]

Hi all,
I recently had a microphone problem on Discord a day after automatically updating my audio driver from Realtek high definition audio to just Realtek audio. I reverted back the update somehow by uninstalling the audio driver twice, but what used to say Realtek high definition audio still just says "Realtek audio" in my device manager.

After reverting my microphone input improved, but I have to raise the decibel level to be audible to others, sometimes my words cut out though. My speakers and microphone are working just fine but I'm not sure if I should still be using this new updated driver and if it is reducing the quality of my voice.

Does anyone know why Realtek changed their audio driver to just "Realtek" and not "high definition"?

The current audio driver I have is from 2020/06/19, the newest one I can download from driver booster is 2020/07/21 based on an application called "driver booster" that I am using but I think it will reduce the volume of my microphone again.
Should I reset my audio driver to factory from the acer support website or should I be updating to the latest Realtek audio driver? If so, do I simply launch the driver set up or do I need to go through an uninstall procedure for my current driver?

You should use Acer's driver for the audio. The high definition one is a different one.

Realtek changed the name because the name was too long --- that's it.

Realtek needed to use the "High Definition" name to differentiate between the old AC97 chip and the new audio chips. Just like when they were still selling standard definition tv when hdtv first came out. Now every tv is hdtv, you don't need to use the super long name.

All the old computers with AC97 chips are in the landfill, Realtek doesn't need to use the super long name anymore.
