Helios 700 loose screw?

Hello,

Long story short, i bought an acer Helios 700 a year ago to be used mostly for gaming and 3d modeling. The laptop handled everything i did so far with impressive thermals(at least on the GPU side). As the laptop is pretty big it ended up sitting on my desk 80 % of the time so yesterday i just noticed that on the hyperdrift window one of the screw looked loose, at first i thought that i'm just seeing things but after a close inspection it looks like the screw got loose. I tried taking a picture(sorry for the bad quality) of the screw and noticed that it had visible paint, should i send it wo warranty?

I'm afraid that due to it's position it might cause more damage if it gets out

If you can try to fix the screw yes you can and it will not void the warranty. But if you want to send it than you can to Acer repair center to fix it.

Thank you very much for your answer, feels good knowing i''m not crazy and at the same time bad that i'm facing this issues on a laptop that was 3k. Not sure how can i fix it as it requires to open the whole laptop, is there any way of opening the glass lid without opening the whole rig?

I spoke with the local repair center and asked if i can do a clean-up( fan and thermal paste replacement) and fix the screw but they are not doing thermal paste replacement unless they are changing fans or processors which sounds a bit weird.

if under warrnty put a repair request on acer support site they will send someone to repair and will repaste your laptop also. if there is no void warraty stiker then you can repaste yours self
