Hi, I reinstalled windows 10 with a completely fresh copy and installed all my PH315-52 (2019) drivers but I don't have the original power plan for the battery that was named "Acer". does anyone have that plan backup and can post it for me? or anyone remember what's different in it so I can create it again?

Thanks in advance

You can create the default Power Plans using these steps:
    Windows 10
Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Power Options

On the left, it says 'Create a power plan,' click on that and arrive at this screen:

Pick the type of plan you want to create and make sure to name the plan (I name High Performance High Performance).

Make any additional configurations or just click 'create':

That should give you a little bit better functionality until someone can share the Acer defaults plans with you.

The technical way to move a power plan to a new installation of Windows is to export the power plan from the previous install and import it into the new install (https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_import_or_export_a_power_plan_in_windows_10.html). Other methods involve using Acer system recovery. However, installing an image of Windows that is years old doesn't really make sense, now does it?

Thank you for your help, I did create a high performance plan. I did not backup the power plan before the install so I was wondering if someone has the same model can they export the plan using the method described in your link https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_import_or_export_a_power_plan_in_windows_10.html
    and share it with me

I found the attached text file on my computer which looks like it has correct power configuration. However I am unable to restore it using powercfg command its giving me this error when doing an import
Unable to perform operation.  An unexpected error (0x3f9) has occurred:  The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format.

That very nearly is a .reg file format, but it has been transformed into a human-readable format. There is probably an Acer utility on the techbench that creates it from a .reg file. It looks to be reproducible if done manually, but the level of patience required is similar to stacking dominoes into a 3' high tower on carpet.

    Reg files are like this:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_MAXCONNECTIONSPER1_0SERVER
    "iexplore.exe "=dword:0000000a

farahats9 yeah it was converted to txt so so not sure if it could be converted back into reg values but the powerplans export files are usually .pow and have to be imported/exported via cmd  (always make a full registry backup first before you try to change anything in the registry wither manual or importing)
