there used to be an activate by phone option which always worked (i asusme MS take the approach that if your ringing thats not gonna be at scale), or if you just wait 10 or so days you should be able to re activateonce installed

Just contacted microsoft, and after 82 minutes they told me that the key is locked and they cant unlock it because is assosiated with my laptop. And the only one that can unlock the key is acer

Say wha, that doesnt sound right at all! Are you using a MS account or a local account?, and is it a key from a box / sticker or from the UEFI (from a wmic command)

Im using a local account. And the key is from the bios i think, because i didnt got any other key.

    Just tried the command

    wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
to verify the key. Also tried to use that same key under the "change key" option.

Just had a call with the accer support and they told me that it was a problem with my factory reset because i did it from the microsoft creation tool and not directfly from the bios. But now im a little confuse, ineed i used microsoft creatioin tool to download the iso into an usb but then i entered to the bios and did a clean installation from there. I did something wrong?

Now im trying to reinstall the windows version that came with the laptop. But even doing the reset from settings and recovery is installing the same version that i installed previously from an usb. Any help please?

Is that using the inbuilt recovery option? that will only work if you kept the recovery partition. Both them support agents seem a bit confused as its not Acer who would unlock the key it would be MS (its their activation servers), and you wouldnt reset windows from the UEFI, just the settings.

My guess its the local user account, the server wont "know" the laptop has been factory reset (i think they moved away from hardware fingerprints). There isnt much you can do but wait it out for a few days and trying again, or calling the number it gives you when activation fail and hoping to get through to the robot rather than a person. You could try using a microsfot account as well, as then it syncs the licence with the account.

If you cant get through to a robot, its lways worth just asking where the other key is in use, doubt they will be able to tell you though =/, you did nothing wrong by using the media creation toolkit, its what you would want to do!
