Okay, I have read a bunch about SSD AND RAM upgrades and I Have seen all the links but no one confirming making any changes after.

From what I have been doing for research there are two different types of SSD.
Samsung 860 EVO SSD SATA 2.5in
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781Z7Y3S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Samsung 860 EVO SSD M.2 SATA
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07864V6CK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Also, can I install both or is it only one slot option? What's the difference?

Then for the RAM upgrade

Corsair Vengeance Performance SODIMM CMSX8GX4M1A2400C16 8GB 2400MHz CL16 ddr4

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077SB72QN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/S (PC4-19200) SR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT8G4SFS824A

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BIWKP58/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Is there a required MHz you have to run and I know my laptop runs (2400) or could I take it out and replace it with 2666 or 3200?

Also are there any other upgrades anyone on here has done that I am possibly missing?

I was running Call of duty after 25mins the game crashes also takes forever to load up every time and a lot of random lag in-game getting very horrible FPS.

I'm going to follow these steps when I get home from work but even if it does work I want to make all the upgrades.

    Hi,
In order to install this one - Samsung 860 EVO SSD SATA 2.5in
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781Z7Y3S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
you have to remove your current 1TB 2.5` HDD
You can install this one thou in your free M.2 slot - Samsung 860 EVO SSD M.2 SATA
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07864V6CK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

    Then for the RAM upgrade:
Are you going to add 8GB RAM to your current one? If so you have to check with CPU-Z the specs of your installed one and get one with the same size, specs, CL and timings. Your CPU supports up to 2400MHz so what`s the point of putting 2666 or 3200?

Please click "Yes" if I have answered your question.

For the SSD's the difference is the form factor. The First link is a 2.5 inch drive, where as the other is a M2 drive, using the yeardown from here:

    https://youtu.be/hyIwagLXZLA?t=56

The Harddrive is in the bottom left, and is the thing that can be replaced with the 2.5inch SSD. The M2 slot is the thing between the gren and black chip, and the black chip with ENE on the left close to the Wifi adapter. Both should work, and it depends if you want to either add a new drive or just change the one thats already there.

If you allready have a hard drive installed you will have the cable / cradle for  it, if not you may not.

for the ram, the speed is based on what the board can support. Check task manager to see whats already running, i think the max speed is 2400 for this laptop. The biggest thing is running the ram in dual channel, which just means getting two sticks of the same ram speed and latency :)

These wont effect FPS that much though im afraid as thats mainly the CPU and GPU
