I broke a cuboid like pin on my motherboard

I was removing old thermal paste and by mistake I scratched one of the cube like pin above of a cpu core now pc hangs and temperature goes like 91 while I am just surfing internet  what exactly is that thing I broke and is it repairable please save my laptop

    They are either transistors or capacitors, but its impossible to say without a service guide. If you still have it, and if the pads are in tact (i cant really see) you can solder the bit back on

    Its very very fiddley though, and not easy (Im no where near good enough with a soldering iron to do it!) ,

    No I don't have it , can a service guy add a new one or the whole motherboard has to be changed

    Realisticly no, it will need a new motherboard.

    Some places may be able to do a repair on it like Louis rossman does with mac's , but its very unlikley + needs a specialised skillset which most people dont do :(
