Hi forum has anyone encountered problems with the Acer spin r13 my daughter used for home schooling everyday and loved the flip design and would use the spin ever day since Xmas for watching movies too. Acer have had this to repair for over 3 weeks and now say it’s not a faulty hinge it’s consumer damage? but that is not the case other then flipping the screen as designed to do, a hinge breaking within 6months of purchase is not reasonable or fit for purpose.. I should be getting a phone call back today but wanted to know if anyone else has this issue? Thanks

am sorry for that. not all faulty hinges issue is considered as consumers damage i guess. check with acer support and send it for service before it breaks the screen or other parts.

Yes we have had the same issue. Acer refusing to repair and charging £50 to get the broken laptop back or in excess of £300 to repair. I'm considering small claims court. If rather pay the money fighting them.
