Hi Everyone,

I purchased an Acer Swift 3 SF314-57 yesterday and looking to set it up with an additional monitor and keyboard and mouse.  Looking to purchase a compatible port replicator/docking station that can be plugged into the Acer's USB C port that provides data and charging of the Acer laptop.  Is this possible?  If so what docking station is best to get?

Yes, a docking station is often the most convenient way to put extra monitors on, as long as you're not going to be trying to game with them. Your Thunderbolt port, however doesn't support charging the laptop. Specs just say: Connects to Thunderbolt devices. Supports DATA transmission. So you'll be looking for a dock that provide the same power and connector as the stock charger; 45W 19V 1.1x3.0x7.7mm. It's not a lot more convenient that just using the stock charger, since you will still have two wires to plug in...

Yes I think you’re right. Rather than hunt Around to see what I can match up, I’ll look to get a usb c type docking station for the peripherals and monitor connection etc and just use then normal laptop charger directly into the laptop.  I assume normal usb c docking stations will work fine in the usb c port on the laptop?

Yes, they should work fine, albeit slightly slower than a Thunderbolt dock. Not an issue for 99% of people.
