My computer is not showing the HDD installed in the Extra slot on my Acer Nitro AN715-51

I installed the hdd using the hdd upgrade cable provided with the laptop. The HDD is 1Tb and it does not show up in File Manager or Disk Management.

    It can be various issues that its not showing in disk management. Incorrect BIOS settings may cause the new hard drive to be disabled. it could be because of a driver issue, connection issue also. check them. Hope its recognized in bios.

    It can be various issues that its not showing in disk management. Incorrect BIOS settings may cause the new hard drive to be disabled. it could be because of a driver issue, connection issue also. check them. Hope its recognized in bios.

    I checked bios/uefi and it doesn't show up there. I used intel driver support to check if anything needs updating only the graphics driver did and i believe its updated. I can't really open it up right now to check for connection issues but i believe i did insert it correctly.

    If its not showing in bios then it can be a faulty hard drive. may be its connections are fine as you say but it can be hard drive itself.

    Soooooo I’m sorry but I’m dumb the ribbon was inserted upside down so yeah I’m officially a big dumb dumb thanks a lot for the help though
