    What ports are you connecting the two monitors by, i thought that model only had one HDMI out?

    I have used the hdmi for the first monitor that’s fine but looking to see if it’s possible to connect the second monitor

    Ahh ok, so to connect a second you would need to use a display link style adapter ~( https://www.displaylink.com/products/find?cat=3&maxd=1 ) these useUSB data to shuttel video to the monitor. They are quite heavy on the CPU though and are limited to around 60fps

    Acer suggest I use a USB c to hdmi but it didn’t work
    So as per your link it’s better to use USB 3

    I did try a usb 3 to hdmi adaptor from Amazon but it didn’t work but looking at what you sent it a totally different one .

    So will try your option and thanks for the help

    No problem :), to be able to use USB-C it needs displayport out which i dont belive that model has. The driver ones should work fine 👍

    So if I get the USB 3 to hdmi one that’s ok as I already have a new hdmi cable

    @Leostat

    @Leostat . Thank you for your helpful advice. I have an ACER nitro 5 (AN515-57) with USBc that does not have support video (thunderbolt). I have an external monitor (LG Ultragear 31.5", 1ms, 165Hz, QHD) that I use for gaming via the HDMI connection. I would like to use a second external monitor, and will have to use the USB3 port with a USB3-HDMI adapter. I have an dapter on order, but not sure if it will work considering others' experience. I saw your advice on displaylink today.

    Provided I have a working adapter, I would appreciate advice on what would be the largest size and highest resolution/rate monitor I could use as a second external monitor via the USB3 port without compromising the laptop performance or strain its CPU/GPU. I am not sure if understood correctly but it was mentioned in one forum that the USB video output will be through the CPU's integrated vega 8 video card (??) and not the RTX (?). Thank you in advance for your help.

    It acts like a second low performance gpu, not using the iGPU. It dpeends on the chipset, i think they do up to "5k" 60 chips now over at displaylink. It does hit aergae frame rate

    A while ago i did a couple of comparions of the effect on the frame rate:

    It had between a 10 and 20% hit on frame rate. They are great for content, tv, or background youtube and twitch. You can game on em, but unless its a gaming focued one your results may not be great
