Aspire C27 Arrived with Screen Separating on left-hand side

I received my laptop last week and have really loved this device. Every time I've started it, I've noticed a bright line of light shining from the left hand side and noticed that the screen looks unevenly lit during startup. But once it get's going, I usually don't notice it anymore, given the bright Acer default background and quickly becoming consumed in my work. However, I just switched over to dark settings and now it is apparent the problem is an issue the screen is separated on the left hand side. I don't want to mess with it and risk breaking anything, how do I go about having this fixed?

That's the backlight of the screen. If that's off then we cant see the display. Is there a gap between the frame and screen. Its ok to use but if there a gap contact the seller or acer.
