Acer SB240Y Monitor Resolution on Windows10 Startup

Recently upgradeed my monitor to Acer SB240Y Bbix. After adding this monitor during Windows 10 boot/startup I get a black screen, no manufacturer splash screen, with a rolling message "Input not supported". But when Windows 10 get to the GUI portion of startup everything display OK. I briefly re-installed the old HP monitor and everything displays OK. So it definitely related to the Acer monitor.
I assume what is happening is Windows 10 displays at a lower resolution during the initial stages of startup, and the Acer for whatever reason can automatically switch temporarily to the lower (?) resolution.

This is a problem since I can not see the manufacturer's splash screen and the BIOS trigger key, and not able to get into the BIOS. Anyone experience this condition and any suggestions. Thanks

try a different connection like displayport, dvi, or hdmi, or whichever works.

Doesn't make any difference. It appears this monitor does not support whatever resolution Windows 10 is using pre GUI. Or it will not automically adjust to the signal being sent.

Recently upgraded and I having the exact same issue with the same monitor. I am using an AMD RX 6400 via HDMI. Can't see the BIOS on boot up, but Windows 10 appears just fine if I don't press anything.

This is so frustrating because I don't know whether it's the gpu or the monitor. Feel like I'm going in circles.

It's actually both. Thle GPU is likely sending an 800x600@60 signalinstead of upscaling and the monitor doesn't know how to display that low of resolution. One or the other needs to change, and it pretty much needs to be the GPU since the monitor hardware can't.
