Why isn't my PC mic working? Audio driver issues?

Hello,

My Acer Nitro gaming PC has an excellent built-in mic, but at some point a while back, it just stopped working for no apparent reason. Any audio input no longer works - whether it's with a headset or the laptop mic. 

I can't find the right audio driver to install, and that's the only solution that seems like it might work. I checked all the standard audio settings and everything should be working as normal, plus I never changed anything in the first place, I don't know how the input got axed. 

Does anyone know where to find the right driver, or have any other suggestions? Thanks

I'm on an Acer Nitro 5 with Windows 10 btw
