Acer doesn't seem to offer this crucial information for people needing to replace their chargers. The cord from the charger to my laptop got brittle and cracked exposing the outside conductor. Movement at that point breaks the outside wires. The charger is labeled as PA-1450-26 19V 2.37A. Some of the chargers I've seen on line have different plug dimensions. Acer should take the trouble to provide a database of charger specifications, including plug dimensions, matching their computers that could be accessed online. It doesn't seem like that much to ask.

Most all of the Acers released in the last several years have 1.1X3.0X7.7mm plugs. Any compatible one will have those dimensions. Watch out for a third party supply with 1.35mm central hole, they won't fit as snugly on the center electrode.

Thanks for the input. The outside diameter and the length of my existing charger plug seem about right using the tools I have: an inch micrometer and a centimeter ruler. The internal hole dimensions are a whole other thing to measure. Again, ACER not providing access this information is just bad customer service, in my view. The need for charger replacement is hardly an unusual occurrence. And the lack of having one that works makes a laptop useless. Does anyone at ACER care?

So when I go to Amazon and search on "SP513-51 charger" I get a couple of hundred of them. Is that not enough?
