Thunderbolt 3.1 port work as display direct to GPU? Aspire VN7-793G-7101

I have an Acer Aspire V 17 Nitro with a USB-C Thunderbolt 3.1 port and I was wondering if I could plugin a HDMI adapter to it that allows me to connect directly to the GPU. I have a HDMI port but it seems to connect to the CPU, bottlenecking the GPU and I was hoping I could bypass the CPU altogether this way.

If the Thunderbolt port doesn't let me connect a display directly to the GPU, then can I work around the CPU with the HDMI port in anyway? My last option is to just get an eGPU case and some GEForce card but that's way more pricier than just adding some cables to what I have.

This question might sound stupid, but I'd like to add, when I look in the task tray, it says "GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (0 Display, 8 Programs)" and I was hoping I could make that, like, 1 Display.

Great thank you, Sorry it had ages off my notifications! If you open the Nvidia controll pannel and goto the part with the Phsysx it should tell you what its connected to. If its in the Blue physx speach buble thing you should be able to select what GPU is used. Swap that over to the Dedicated and it should e good to go

So selecting the "physx" processor is meant to change what GPU has controll of the port, is you do that and use HDMI does it still use the inbuilt gpu?

I see the bubble is to the GTX, but there is a direct line

So if it wont swap its most likley conected directly to the igpu

according to that the HDMI is being controlled by the dGPU though which is odd if it then isnt being used

Thank you for trying to help me, I really appreciate it. Last question. If I get any old USB C to HDMI, will it work as Thunderbolt, or is there extra pins for the thunderbolt (like Usb 2 vs Usb 3)? I'll come back and let you know of my findings once I try it.
