Hello everybody,

My first post on these forums. I have few questions for the tech support team or any other community members that might have any knowledge about the topic.

I just reacently bought the following Acery system:

Acer Aspire AMD A-Series A8-4500M(1.90GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi AMD Radeon HD 7670M that came with a Windows 8 installed.

This system actually got a switchable graphics onboard AMD Radeon HD 7650g + AMD Radeon HD 7670M 1gb dedicated VRAM.

Before messing things up I wanted to consult the forums.

Q1. Is it possible to disable AMD Radeon HD 7650g and force the use of HD 7670M only since the dual-graphics option seems to suffer from micro stuttering and performance in games seems to be very bad using dual-graphics feature through  AMD Catalyst software?

I would like to explore the option of doing this through BIOS update and choose HD 7670M as a default GPU. Does Acer have a bios version/update that would allow this option? If yes please post the appropriate version of the BIOS here and a guide how to flash the BIOS to the this new version if possible. Would be much appreciated.

Q2. I would like to update video drivers and a Catalyst software to AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 using Atiman software to completely remove the old drivers and leftovers after runing Catalyst removal tool. Will AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 software work properly on the system that I currently have?

All in all I'm looking for a way of improving FPS in games and graphics performance using ATI Radeon HD 7670M as a default GPU at all times since it is more powerful GPU than the integrated GPU ATI Radeon HD 7650g.

Please feel free to post the links and/or guides that might make this possible.

Thanks in advance,

Grotlo
