Hi all ,
ACER NITRO 5
AN515-54
BOUGHT ~DEC 15, 2020
I tried replacing my current SSD that came with the laptop to an upgraded one before formating it(3 days ago) I got the error , no bootable device.
I put the original SSD back so I could clone the original and add other upgrades.
Even with the original SSD I am getting the same "no bootable device" error.
I have checked BIOS and noticed no HDD is being detected at all. There is no boot priority available and I cannot select any drive from the boot menu. I don't have the option for legacy either.
I have:
-Verified time/date is correct in BIOS
-unpluged my battery and hard drive for 8 hours and reconnected it
-set default settings in BIOS
-checked for loose connections which I can't find any.
-contacted Acer support who brought me to boot menu and said I would need a repair to find out why hard drive is not being detected(sending laptop to them)
This is a new laptop so I really just want access to it , I dont need to save any files but bonus if I can save the Hard drive. OR if there is a way to reset it to factory settings and reinstall operating system in new drive. Any help would be appreciated.
Various pictures included.
