Hi,

So I recently took apart my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53 to clean out my fans. I have a very weird way of putting back the laptop because the hard drive does not come out at all, and I cannot pull the SATA ribbon cable off of it, so when I put the laptop back together, the SATA cable is the second last thing I put in. There is also the USB cable that is in the way, so I usually pull it over the connection port to put the SATA cable in, then I put the USB cable after. I put the USB cable in a bit wonky and it started to smoke, so I immediately took it out and was greeted with this:

I put the laptop back together and it turned on just fine, but I later reopened it because I didn't clean the fan properly. Now I am trying to put it back together and it isn't turning on. When I try to plug it in, there is no light.

If the problem is the USB ribbon cable, is there any way I can get it replaced?

If it is not the cable, how do I fix this?
