Before I start- I sent my laptop to be repaired as it is under warrenty.
Bought new Acer Nitro laptop in August. Speakers stopped working completely 2 weeks in. I did the usual update drivers and uninstall and all that ****. Nothing worked except connecting to bluetooth speakers. I decided this was good enough and lived with sound coming thru my Google Home. Eventually that option ceased to work (on the computer's end). Fast forward to today, microsoft support directs me to acer site and realtek drivers for my specific laptop. I let realtek attempt to install drivers- instant blue screen. I try to restart normally
in safe mode
to a past update/system save
The reset option where files are saved
reformat the whole comp and delete everything
Nothing works. Computer goes thru the processes and eventually hits a blue screen or says it can't finish the process. After a while my computer couldn't even do anything. It would start, go to BSOD, restart, BSOD, and so on. I ended up shipping comp today to Acer since it is under warrenty.
This all happened today.
How could this happen? How could realtek drivers totally destroy my comp? What will be done to get it back in order? Does it sound like my computer is salvagable? I didn't have anything rrally important saved so recovering my files isn't an issue.
