When I plug in my computer the cpu temps go up and fans turn on while idle. when not plugged in the cpu stays at normal temperature. It might have something to do with power settings. Pleas help thank you.

If you go into the power settings, right click battery -> power optons you have the power plans. If you create a new one, click change plan setting, chnage advanced settings, you should be able to configure things like the max power state of the processor, if you cap it there it should stop it spooling the fans. This will slow the PC down though!

Some tasks/services could be that are set to run when connected to power source - its that. Optimize your windows.
