Hello, I need help. My computer, an Aspire E5-571, cannot identify my router's 5GHz Wi-Fi network, even though I am close to it. I checked the types of radio supported by my computer with the windowns cmd, and what appeared was: 802.11b / 802.11g / 802.11n (and as far as I know 802.11n supports 5GHz). So I don't think it's a compatibility issue.
I'd like to know how to solve this problem, please.
My notebook wireless driver is "Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter".
I would also like to point out that it is identifying 2.4GHz networks.

Open Device Manager. Click netword adapters folder. Right click properties on wifi or wlan driver. Click advanced tab. Click preferred band. Change from no preference or 2.4GHz band to 5GHz. Jack E/NJ
