Aspire A315-41 Upgrade HDD to SSD

Hi,

I have been looking into upgrading my HDD to an SSD on my Aspire A315-41, and I have a few questions to determine which SSD I should go for:

1. What types of SSDs does my laptop support? Does the A315-41 only support a 2.5" SSD, or am I able to use an M.2 2280? (From what I understand, I cannot use an NVME SSD in my laptop. I have also seen PCIe SSDs, but I'm not sure if those are supported either.)

2. Are there any storage size limits for upgrading to an SSD on the A315-41? I would prefer a 1TB SSD because of work and gaming, but I want to make sure that it will work ok in my laptop.

3. If I can use an M.2 2280, can I keep my HDD AND the new SDD in my laptop?

4. Any other weird things I should be aware of when upgrading to an SSD?

Hi,
1. You can use a M.2 SATA SSD in addition to current HDD, you can install a 1TB M.2 SATA SSD in your model.
2. You can install a 1TB M.2 SSD and 1 or 2TB HDD.
3. Yes but you need to clone the HDD to new SSD, once you are happy with the cloning, you have to format the HDD because you can  not have same operating system in both drives.
4. Use anti static wristband while working on the motherboard to avoid any damage to the motherboard.
