My Acer Nitro 5 Model Type : N17C1 cannot boot.. it was fine the day before, then out of nowhere now it cant boot when i press the power button.. it only flashes the blue power indicator for about 5 seconds (as shown in the second picture) then it just turns off.. no fan sound, no screen flash, no keyboard light flashing, nothing.. i've tried resetting the battery from the tiny hole in the back also but that doesnt help.. plugging in the charger is fine and the charging indicator works fine so i doubt the battery is the problem, it just wont boot up.. please any suggestions? Also if anymore info about my laptop is needed pls let me know.. please help anyone :(

This looks like a HW issue, so I suggest you to take it to a service center for diag..

When you did the battery reset, did you do the full process, or just push the button behind the pinhole? You should disconnect power and shut down, then press and hold the button for 15-30 seconds. Release the button and wait 15-30 minutes, then plug the power back in. Wait until the light shows a full charge and try turning it back on.

Yep, did all that and still does the same thing.. blue light for about 5 seconds, and nothing happens after that..

Connect power and for a short while, like 30 or minutes. Maybe the battery got drained.

Nope.. tried this also and it didnt work.. drained battery means the charging indicator would be yellow, but its blue while plugged in meaning its not low battery.. still charged it despite this though and that didnt help

Does a long press on the power button do anything? I'm thinking we're getting close to 'contact Acer support' here...
