I bought an A315-34 laptop for my daughter in November 2020 to assist with her on-line schooling - due to the pandemic she has had to relocate temporarily to Argentina.  She opened it up on Christmas Day and discovered the webcam is not detected/working.  I have tried everything to resolve this e.g. opening Device Manager but there is no imaging devices as a sub-heading.  Do you have any ideas as to how I can resolve this, or do I need to purchase an external webcam?

    @lostres hello,

    When you looking for the imaging devices in the Device manager on the top you will be having a option VIEW if you click that you will get option like "SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES" there you will be able to find the camera drivers. {imaging devices}
    if you find the drivers there you can do a right click so you will get a option called uninstall device. uninstall the driver and restart the computer and after that check the camera.

    if in case you are not able to find the drivers in the hidden devices option , please visit the Acer official website and you can download the camera drivers from there.
     please post the result here.

    Click yes if you find this helpful.
    have a good day.

     Have you ran the Camera Firmware looking in the Patch category instead of Drivers from support page?
