Hi, I have an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG laptop with the standard 8GB of ram and am planning to install the maximum memory of 32GB.  I have a few questions regarding this.  One is everywhere I look it says to unplug & remove the battery before installing RAM.  Well this laptop has an internal battery so I am assuming that I can simply discharge it before adding RAM?  Also, i have an anti static wrist strap but am unsure where to clamp the alligator clip to create a ground.  Many have said to clamp it to an unpainted screw on the 3 prong AC outlet.  Where else can I clamp it?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Disconnect the battery connector from the mainboard before attempting to replace the  RAM modules. As for the wrist strap, simply connect the clamp or alligator clip to a metal ground screw or HDD/SSD bracket on the mainboard. The important thing is that you, your wrist & your fingers are at about the same potential as the mainboard so sparks don't happen between them. Jack E/NJ
