Computer won’t turn on aspire 5

My new Acer aspire 5, won’t turn on. The battery light isn’t on even though it is plugged into the charger. The charger has power and I even got a new cord and charger.

Keep the charger plugged in. But don't try to turn it on until the charge LED turns on, first to a steady orange then to steady blue. This may take 4-8 hours. If the LED still doesn't turn on and become steady blue, then immediately return the machine to the vendor/seller as defective for a refund or exchange. Jack E/NJ.
