Ok let me start by apologising for being a total tech blonde.
I’ve ordered my daughter a spin 13 for doing school work. When it arrived its a spin 713. According to the place I bought it the 713 is a newer version? Should I accept it? Are there any disadvantages to it compared to the 13? I did notice it doesn’t have the stylus of the 13. Is it possible to get one? If so what kind am I looking for (I had no idea there were so many different standards). Appreciation in advance and please try and keep any replies layman friendly

The CP713 Chromebook models are Spin 13s. It's just a nomenclature issue, the marketing folks tend to switch back and forth. :) Which specific model did you get (CP713-xxx-xxxx)? Some use a stylus, some only have finger touch and the blunt tipped pens...

I gave my Spin 13 to a nephew so I can't check model numbers and I have the Spin 713 now. The Spin 713 has the same screen as the Spin 13. The biggest difference, for me, is a new processor and a larger trackpad. I think the keyboard is a bit better. I do know that within a month or two the space bar coating wore off where my thumb hits it to space. I've been using the 713, a lot, for five months and no wear showing on the space bar.

Getting a Spin 13 when you ordered a Spin 713 would be fraud. Getting a Spin 713 when you thought you'd ordered a Spin 13 is a lucky break.
