Dear people,

I recently received a notification on my chromebook acer spin CP311-1H and I clicked it thinking it was an update because if it was an update I wouldn't have to update the day after at school. but it turned out there was something about play protect. after I clicked it turned out that all accounts that were saved were gone, but that's not the worst. it also turned out that all my files were really all gone from school. they were important files for me i tried everything but my files are still gone. I hope some of you know how to get back lost files and help me with that.

With Kind Regards, Adnaan

Unless the files were also stored n the cloud they are gone for good. ChromeOS doesn't have a method for recovering them. They assume nothing stored locally is supposed to be permanent.
