Hi, I cannot get my Acer Aspire V5 572P-9655 laptop to charge the battery.  When I hover over the battery icon in taskbar it says "3% available (plugged in)" and stays stuck at this.  Like other people, I tried disconnecting the battery and uninstalling the battery drivers but to no avail.  I just bought the battery new in the fall.  I am sure it charged initially.  Any suggestions? Could a windows update have any effect on this?  Reason I ask, my printer last summer would not work.  Tried everything and found out on Internet later that a Windows update was to blame. thanks Darryl

Go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity. Jack E/NJ
