S7-392 recovery without recovery disks?

My S7-392 (with Win 8) crashed a couple years ago (disk failure, so can't boot) and I haven't done anything with it since, until now.
All the recovery info I find on here requires me to have recovery disks, but what if I don't?  What would be my options to get this computer operational again?  Ideally I'd like to see if the SSD can still work, and if not, I'll swap it.  But I'll still need to find my windows license that came with it.
Appreciate any help in getting this machine going again.
Thanks.

Easy peasy. :) Without recovery disks you won't be able to get fully back to factory, but you can just do an OS reinstall. Your system came with a UEFI BIOS and that includes the activation key. So just do a reinstall of either 8.1 or 10 and as long as you're still in the same edition (Home rather than Pro, I believe) it'll activate just with an internet connection. If it were me I'd download all the drivers for it from Acer's support site to a flash drive, then download the current edition of Windows 10 Home from Microsoft and burn that to another flash drive (using Rufus or Media Creation Tool). Plug the install drive into a USB port and go into the BIOS to turn on the F12 boot menu if it's not already enabled, then turn off secure boot, save and exit. On the reboot use F12 to boot from the install disk and install Windows, asking it to wipe any existing partitions so it can recreate them as needed. Once you are up and running again you can install and drivers that are missing from that flash drive and you should be good to go. Do create a recovery drive and do a system backup to match and keep those handy for the next time...

Thanks billsey!  Started this process now, but looks like the SSD is completely shot.  Now I have to go find one of these "special" SSDs.

In case it helps, the Acer part numbers for the drives are: KN.12807.005, KN.1280L.008, KN.25607.005 & KN.2560L.007. The first two are 128GB, the last two 256GB.

Billsey, I got it done, eventually.  Got the drive some back, but only finally got around to this last week.  With the new drive installed, Windows tried to recover itself, seemed okay, but then tried to do updates and locked itself up.  2 days on that.  Finally, I started the installation over from scratch and all's been good now for 4 days so far.  Much thanks for the help with this!
