Hi
I read over a couple threads about users unable to get their microphone to work via the head phone jack.  I tried all the accepted solutions I could find from the thread, mainly making sure the realtek audio app is set to headset, but still the have the issue.  I tried the headset on another laptop (work laptop) and had no issue.  Tried another pair of headset and still the same issue exists.  Is this just a known problem with these laptops?  Seems the internal microphone works without issue.  Not sure if anyone ever found a solution to this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Currently under Sound settings, showing Output to be Headphones (Realtek Audio) and Input to be Microphone Array (Realtek Audio)   Headphone sound works as expected.

Used the Acer Chat session.  Acer said its hardware related issue and I should send in my laptop...

Found my only solution to continue using my headset on my Acer was to purchase a USB to 3.5mm jack.
This is the one I purchased from Amazon and this worked for me.
