acer aspire ES1-572-33BP lcd screen has gone completely dark. Seems backlight led is not working.

My acer aspire ES1-572-33BP lcd screen has gone completely dark. Seems backlight led is not working. Works only with external monitor. Do i need to replace the display or it can be fixed ?

    Probably need to replace the lcd cable due to breaks in its conductor traces thru the hinge area from opening and closing the lid too much. Fairly inexpensive fix. Jack E/NJ
