Latest update acer spin 311

Hi all. I’ve bought an acer spin 311 chrome book for daughter for Xmas. Switched it on and it’s been updating for last 8 hours!! Is this normal? I’ve tried resetting and it just goes back to the start of update, can anyone advise if they think I’ve got a faulty one

    That certainly doesn't sound normal. Can you bypass the update to verify everything else is working? What about bringing it up without WiFi?

    Hallelujah it’s sorted it was my BT router stopping it from updating. Dropped it at father in laws (all socially distanced) and it was fully updated within 5 mins!! Thanks all
