Will I still be able to return my Helios 300 2019 if it is a faulty product and warranty has ended?

I've been having extreme heat issues with this laptop, it literally reaches 95 celsius when i'm doing nothing, the fans are so loud when I start it up and constantly throttles when I'm literally not doing anything nor playing any games at all! I tried to apply thermal paste, but I couldn't because there was just one screw that was extremely tight and I couldn't open it, now it is stripped, I also lost two screws. My warranty ended 10 days ago, but is it possible for me to get a refund or repair that won't cost too much? I bought this from amazon, but I don't remember from who.

Also, I live in the U.S., but the nearest acer store to me is in a completely different state

Since your warranty is over, you will have to pay and even with warranty I dont think acer gives a full refund. Its very easy to fix the overheating problem. Make sure you have a proper tool kit so that you will be able to open all the screws easily. When you open anything up make sure to have some plate kinda things to separate the screws and to keep track of them. I think it is possible to buy screws but am not really sure. Which screw is really tight?

Also my gpu has been heating up a lot more then it used to after attempting to put thermal paste, why is this?

Since you lost a screw on the heatsink, pressure may not be applied. Or you didn't apply the paste properly. The screw u lost is on the cpu heatsink or gpu?

I took a screw from the cover of the laptop it fit perfectly on the missing screw on the motherboard, but it did not seem to fix the thermal issue at all. Thermals are the same. What should I do now?

Oh you should have applied the thermal paste. The screw size for heatsink is totally different from the case so it wouldnt have put adequate pressure on the gpu die hence you may be noticing high temps.

I cant apply thermal paste if there is a stripped screw. Also i dont know what you mean by completely different, it was only one screw and it fit perfectly, also the problem existed before I put it in. Anyways i have done literally everything I can to try and get this screw out, I heard that applying super glue on my screwdriver would work, although that seems like a terrible idea. What are your thoughts?

The screws on the heatsink hold it down on the gpu die to maintain contact with the thermal paste. Since you are saying the case's screw fits perfectly, even then there can be a problem of the temps worsening because once you loosen the heatsink, the paste which was present in between the die and heatsink could have been released temporarily causing it to move from the area which it was covering. This can cause heating issues since the paste which was originally fine has moved. This has some chance of happening but I can tell you that the case's screw couldn't have fit perfectly and this could have caused an uneven spread of paste. I think you should take it to a technician to remove that screw because turning it too much can damage the head of the screw and that will be a bigger pain. Make sure you are trying with the perfect size screwdriver. And don't put superglue on the screwdriver because in case it spills into the screw hole it will stick the screw permanently and it can cause a bigger problem.
