  • Laptop purchased on 25th July 2020.Issue has been happening since 7th December 2020, ever since I tried running games on it.
  • From startup, the laptop makes a mild, consistent whistling/whining noise (much like a sine wave, if it helps imagining the noise better) while I do any non cpu intensive work like document editing or browsing the internet. Here is a video sample of the noise(Please raise your volume a bit): https://drive.google.com/file/d/19T4BGrq4lkL2wKfEn0RLiysQrUtfJjvP/view?usp=sharing
  • The noise is generated both on battery and on charge. The sound disappears when running games on it, when the fans get activated.
  • I did not have this issue before. It started after I tried running games(a cpu intensive task) on it.

  • Any helpful suggestions will be highly appreciated!
