Hi all,
I have an ACER laptop Model Name: A515-55G Part Number: NX.HZFAA.002
I've tried to replace the 8gb kingstone ram with HyperX (from kingstone) 16gb ram 2400 Hz(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BNJL8K2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
after I already bought an 8gb stick (when I read that I suppose to have 2 memory slots or an onboard 4gb ram, well I had only 1 slot with no onboard ram, so I replaced it to this).
Now I open up the back and replaced the stick, and the computer is turning on but it doesnt boot, not even the acer logo. When I return the old stick its working just fine.
According to what I read online that stick suppose to be compellable with the laptop...
I tried disconnect the battery, didnt help.
Is it a BIOS thing? should I install the "Support on board RAM Micron 8G 3200 (MT40A512M16LY-062E:E" or it wont help?
It can be DOA but I want to be sure before I return it for the second time.
Thank you!
