So the problem resolution answer was  "I followed instructions on how to use the Windows boot settings on how to allow it to boot from a thumb drive ...."

Well, sadly that does not help at all. More words need in explanation :(

    What I tried
I booted into F10 windows recovery and selected the option to recover for USB / Boot from USB
    "
hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and restart the PC"
Choose an option : USA a Device " Use a USB Drive
    EFI USB Device
and I get the BIOS error, Blue window with a boxed error message
"System Doesn't have any boot option. Please select other boot option in Boot Manager Menu,

    ORIGINAL PROBLEM

So summary this support tread original problem not solved using windows booting - USB device unless someone can unlock the criptive soluton answer !!

Recap problem   "There are no boot order options in the Acer Spin 1 bios : I cannot boot the computer in other devices (micro SD card / USB stick) than the option "1. Windows Boot Manager". Is it possible to add one or make all the ports bootable? I have updated the bios but nothing has changed. Also, I cannot access the bios with key (F2 or F12), I have to go through the Windows troubleshooter parameters to force it"

    Also tried
I ripped out the SSD, installed a brand new one.
    Booted into F2
The  boot option at all .  "1. Windows Boot Manager" was removed

So I stuck back in the old SSD hard disk.
    Windows went into recovery mode
Presented with an option to recover from USB boot, Yah , let's give that a crack - test
The same issues, Window presented  ""System Doesn't have any boot option. Please select other boot option in Boot Manager Menu"

Also ,I contacted support. They sent me to the Support Drivers update page for my Acer Model Model P513-53N / Part Number: NX.H62SA.007
There were 3x BIOS drivers to update. The second looked promising - got my hopes up "BIOS Fixes BIOS boot priority order"
    NEW PROBLEM:

The current BIOS version is V1.10.
The BIOS drivers link are V1.02 , the V1.05 and then V1.06
All these BIOS updates fail, error message each time

"The BIOS is not for your laptop"
"The version of ROM file is not newer than that of BIOS"

    What am i not getting?

My new very expensive Spin 5 / gen 8  is "-bricked' / Unable to upgrade to 1T HDD (boot from a USB device to reinstall OS . so as to decommission my dying Acer Aspire R11 - migrate date over, still sits in a box, "-bricked'  for 6 months now:-1:

Thinking I have to dump Acer (28-year relationship/ Acers  - kid you not )

ALSO - this is my second attempt at replacing - made the mistake of purchase a Spin 1, did realize no way on earth to upgrade the HDD due to being  64GB eMMC) , windows 10S thingie

    HP or ?

    :(:(:(

Windows Boot Manager (WBM) is the name for the EFI boot partition installed on the drive. It lists within it all potential boot entry points, usually just the Windows system disk, but sometimes something like a dual boot Linux install. When you disable Secure Boot in the BIOS the WBM looks outside the norm to see if there are other EFI configurations, such as the EFI on a Windows or Linux install flash drive. With secure boot disabled and a properly setup flash install the F12 menu should show a USB device as bootable, even if the original drive is toast.
