White Circles down right side of Screen Con't Acer Spin 3 SP315-51-3684

We got these Circles that show up mostly on the top right of the screen and sometimes they will go up and down the right side flashing. The screen will get enlarged, and some other screens will open, basically the computer acts crazy. We are using an external mouse - seems to help a little bit? I have connected an external monitor and the same issues show up on it too. Thinking about resetting laptop to factory condition to see if that makes a difference? Also played with re-installing the video drivers and made no difference. Thought I would post a picture to see if anyone has run across similar issues. White circle in top center of picture and around mouse pointer.

You've posted multiple threads on essentially the same problems with this machine. Please try to stay on one thread. I suggest that you back up your HDD or SSD and do a full erase everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset. This is arguably the best way to rule in or rule out a hardware issue. Jack E/NJ

The video ribbon cable connectors need to be reseated a few times at the mainboard and base of the LCD screen to help clean the contacts. The contacts may be dirty or oxidized causing these circles to appear. Jack E/NJ

Reconnected the video ribbon cable at both the mainboard and at the base of the video screen = no change to issue.

If you're absolutely sure the same issues show up on an external monitor, then it's likely a damaged mainboard. Otherwise, the screen's liquid crystal matrix is damaged. To confirm this, I suggest accessing the BIOS menu by pressing F2 at boot time to see if the circular screen patterns seem to exist there too. Jack E/NJ

Or, perhaps more likely, the touchscreen is reading phantom touches. The circles are the normal indication of a held touch, and they could easily be opening apps and such.

Ok After messing around with the computer, its my wife's, I started in BIOS and could not reproduce the circles or screen changes. I then exited and started windows. After opening up Google chrome and selecting a random website I found I could get the circles to come back and get the screen to open up different things by tapping on the back bottom of the screen. Hand under keyboard with fingers supporting the screen, like you were carrying it with one hand. The lower part of the screen seems to flex very easy? I am thinking about gluing a thin piece of wood to stabilize the bottom section then try to reproduce the issues? I may be grasping at straws here but seems like a reasonable thing to try.

Just remembered watching something on the computer in the past when the issues would happen without touching the computer at all.

Yes, but you earlier indicated that the same issue appeared on an external monitor. Jack E/NJ

I believe the external monitor was likely in Duplicate mode, so would show the same touch indications the laptop screen did. In wonder if the hinge is starting to break loose with associated flex of the screen.

I will try to glue something on tonight and see what happens in the morning. I had the screen transferred to the external monitor so the laptop screen was blank. Its been a while since I did that so just going off memory. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
