New ET322QU and Older Aspire Desktop not working together

Acer Aspire Desktop from 2017 was and does run fine on my Acer P221WBD from 2008 via VGA,

7th Generation Intel Core i5-7400 Processor (Up to 3.5GHz)
12GB DDR4 2400MHz Memory;Built to perform

Acer ET322QU arrived today (Costco via UPS). I connected it via HDMI and it works, but isn't 'right'.

Wherever there is a white background, there are black vertical lines.

On our chocolate lab background, it looks like green stars twinkling.

There is color bleed (purple) around both labs (yellow lab doesn't twinkle).

On startup, there is a blue vertical line on the left side of the screen.

After startup, that line (or one near it) turns green when a window is placed over it, but it otherwise not there.

I've used 2 different HDMI cables that I recently tested as good.

I have the old monitor still hooked up via VGA and it's fine.

Moving the VGA hookup to the new monitor added to the problems.

Shutting off and/or unplugging the old monitor does not change the problems on the new one.

I believe I'm running Windows 10 (64-bit) and the intel HD Graphics 630 is an integrated card.

I am hoping for a simple solution.

What is your desktop model? Make sure that your Win-10 is up to date, also, update you Intel HD Graphics 630 driver to the latest driver that Intel has first, then install the Acer ET322QU provided driver from here: Product Support | Acer United States (dated 2018/05/29 and version1.0) then try to use the monitor with the HDMI cable and see if that makes a difference?

The HDMI feature of your old desktop (whatever the model is?) should not be affected unless the HDMI plug is corroded and/or is damaged on your old desktops mainboard, check and clean that also and see if that makes a difference?

Sound isn't working either.

Win-10 is up to fully updated.

Graphics card says is the best driver (windows search).

Installed Acer driver and windows search confirms it's the best.

I started with a HDMI and tried another. VGA was just to see if it would matter, as I know it works well with the older acer monitor.

Unsure how to check/clean on the motherboard. If the VGA worked, then I'd be more inclined to open/clean desktop.

Thanks for the suggestions. The monitor came from Costco, via UPS, ordered Nov 3, arrived Nov 14. Maybe it wasn't handled carefully enough?

I'm not opposed to buying a video card and using the other connector (DP?), but I don't know if that would work, which card to buy, and why that should be necessary step.

PLOT TWIST: It's the next morning now. Things are a little better.

When I shut down last night, it had the same problems. When I started up this morning, it's been clean and clear.

Only possible thing would be the temperature of the monitor. It was delivered yesterday. Maybe it was so cold during storage and delivery that it just needed to warm up? Is that even a thing?
