I brought a acer aspire 3 with a i5-1035G1 processor and my laptop seems to over heat it reaches over 85c°. Its only been one day since I brought it. And I noticed it's always about the base clock which is a good thing. It's always above 3Ghz. And I believe the laptop should be designed to make the airflow efficient. And I didn't make any changes yet to the system. Can anyone help me. 😭

    >>>Plus if it gets about 85C° when I play games or render videos for long periods of time it's gonna be bad for the processor right>>>

No. Not correct. This is entirely normal for new laptops. Try not to compare it with older laptops. Anything below about 94*C under load is normal for new laptops. Enjoy the machine. Stop worrying. Jack E/NJ

85*C is not too hot under load. Open Control Panel. Search 'power plan'. Click 'choose power plan' in left pane. If in performance mode, change to balanced. If in balanced mode already, click plan settings. Click change advanced power settings, Click processor power management folder. Set both min processor states to 5% . Set system cooling policy to active plugged in only. Set max processor states to 100%. Jack E/NJ

My i5 8th gen reaches 90C under heavy load, idles at 35C-40C, (ambient temp is around 25C) I've had this laptop for 2 years with zero issues. You'll be fine

Everything is as you said but my concern is the battery (because heat is not good for the battery) and the processor's TJ Max is 100c° and my temps are incredibly close. The thing is my idle temps are going up to 60C° and that can't be normal right?

Anything under about 94*C is normal for new laptops under load. And I seriously doubt it's truly idling if a non-Microsoft scanner and other unnecessary apps are running in the background. Open task manager. Please post a screenshot of the startup tab if possible. Jack E/NJ

It's not always at 60C° it suddenly gets to that's and back to 35-45 range is it normal. My previous laptop didn't do that it was below 38C°
That's why I'm concerned. Plus if it gets about 85C° when I play games or render videos for long periods of time it's gonna be bad for the processor right. Any solution for this ?
