Next Step...aspire 3 a315-53g-599b

Hi Everyone,

I have already bought and installed Kingston A2000 NVME SSD on my aspire 3 a315-53g-599b laptop. I would like to ask what would be the next step. Would this mean that my bootup and opening application would be more faster compared before or do i need to do something like configuring my ssd or what? Thanks

It depends on whether you currently boot from a 2.5" HDD or 2.5" SSD. If an HDD, you should probably clone or migrate the Windows system to boot from the m.2 card for faster boot times. If currently booting from a 2.5" SSD, boot times might not be much faster on the m.2 card. Jack  E/NJ

Thanks for the reply @JackE I am currently booting on my HDD. By cloning means all my files from my HDD will be included to my SSD, right? Do you have any cloning software that would work best for Kingston A2000 NVME?

AOEMI partition assistant standard edition freeware can be used. If the SSD is smaller capacity than the HDD, you will have to first shrink the HDD C : \  partition so it fits on the smaller SSD using either Control Panel diskmanager or AOEMI partition assistant. Once it's cloned, you must disconnect the HDD to make sure the SSD will boot by itself. Then re-connect the HDD and either change the boot order to boot from the SSD or disable the HDD's boot capability so it acts like a D : \   Jack E/NJ
