Acer aspire 7 battery not even giving 2 hrs service if I watch movies or Netflix

I bought this laptop at the beginning of this October. This is December going on now. I astonishingly found out that the battery life is poor. In fact it does not give me 1 and 1/2 hrs even if I watch movies. It's a gaming laptop. Should I play games in it or not!!!!. I already have spent a decent amount of time playing games. Is my laptop's battery life degrading already T__T

your supposed to calibrate the battery when you first get it but of course no one know this even me. I later calibrated a tablet and go much better performance so it does work. Dont think you can do it now You can try balanced power mode in setting to reduce power consumption for movies/netflix will decrease performance for battery life tho.Dont use it on your bed without a hard surface underneath either btw as it blocks the cooling system.

bro how to calibrate it.... And should I stop playing games??

to calibrate: do 3x full charge and discharge cycles ( plug power in when windows prompts- its in the manual-can find it acer website under your model number. but i think you gota do it at the start for it to work.

Play games plugged into power ( charger) for best FPS/performance otherwise the computer goes into balanced mode even with setting on high!

It's also recommended playing games while AC adapter connected, you can manually calibrate the  battery once in a while(about 6 months interval), please follow the instructions in this link under "How to manually calibrate the battery":How to Calibrate Your Laptop’s Battery for Accurate Battery Life Estimates (howtogeek.com)
