last week or so my nitro 5 AN515-42-R3ED laptop has not been powering on, instead when ever i power it on it just shows a acer logo, no loading rings or anything then about 20-30 minutes later it says "preparing automatic repair" under the acer logo, and then from there it just stays like that forever, i even tried waiting on it over night to see. last thing i remember before my computer shut down is when it took super long for the computer to boot up, probably 10 minutes. when i took it to an micro-center they said its probably a virus or something like that, but i have tried everything from reseting BIOS settings, to alt+f10, battery drain, removed USB's, removing HHD, windows repair doesnt work. ive looked through so many threads and things to try and find a solution, nothing has worked. is there anything else i can try to do to fix this? Thanks.

Follow these steps then check and tell me if you are able to boot in safe mode-
    1. Click on window icon, press and hold the Shift key while you select the Power  > Restart .
    2. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

Choose an option screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Troubleshoot screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Advanced options screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

Startup Settings screen in the Windows Recovery Environment

    3. After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in safe mode

    Hey @Moldychez! How you doing?
I had the same problem a few days ago and I managed to fix it today.
Currently, my OS and apps are running only on the SSD m2 and my HDD is just for backing up files. After many tries, I decided to disable the HDD in BIOS settings and then the laptop booted normally.
